FAIRBORN — A.C. (Asa) Lykins age 86 of Fairborn died on Thursday, May 8, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was born the son of Collie and Vergie (Suffridge) Lykins on January 28, 1928 in Hazard Kentucky. A.C. is preceded in death by his parents, son Jimmie Lykins, sister Wanda Lewis, brothers Bobbie Lykins, and Donald Lykins, grandchildren Jeremy Lovely, Brandon Caskey, Kyndell Casebier, and Makenzie Cotterman. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Edith "Fern" (Perry) Lykins, daughters Carol Sue (William/Mick) Casebier of New Carlisle, Kathy (Gary) Caskey of N. Middletown, Kentucky, Melinda (Barry) Cotterman of Fairborn, Rose (Lovely) (Art) Hill of Fairborn, brother Roy (Sandy) Lykins of Fairborn. Grandchildren Melissa McMillen, Michael Casebier, Chris Cotterman, Craig Cotterman, Kimberly Hutchinson, Brandy (Cotterman) Lay, Steve Hill, and Amanda Hill, Granddaughter in-law Stephanie Lovely, 24 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A.C. worked for Fairborn City Schools (Fairborn High School/Baker High School) from 1964-1975. He was a member of the Fairborn Masonic Lodge Michael L. Finnell Lodge # 711. A.C. proudly served his country in WW2 as member of the United States Army. A.C. was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who love him. Masonic service will be held from 12:45PM-1:00PM. The funeral service will be held at 1:00PM with Pastor Chris Tannreuther & Art Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Byron Cemetery.
