XENIA — Phyllis F. Buell, 98, of Xenia, passed away May 27, 2014, at Elmcroft of Xenia. She was born September 17, 1915, in Clifton, Ohio, the daughter of Leonard and Helen Corry Flatter. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church (oldest member, 63 years), former member of LaSertoma Club, charter member of the Greene Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, volunteer worker at Xenia FISH Pantry, delivered Meals On Wheels for GMH, and was a former chairman of the Xenia High School Band Parents. She is survived by her children, Robert Barry Buell (Judith), Tampa, FL, Jennifer B. Seidel, Camden, ME, and Susan B. Sonnycalb, Xenia, a son-in-law, Paul R. Storey, Xenia, six grandchildren, Elizabeth A. Storey, Camden, ME, Jennifer S. Irwin (Douglas), Wellesley, MA, Robert C. Buell, Tampa, FL, Candace B. Zwirn (Greg), Tampa, FL, Dr. Meredith S. Sanders (James), Springboro, OH and Abigail S. Johnston (Pete), Powell, OH, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert L. Buell, on May 31, 1976, a daughter, Rebecca B. Storey, a son-in-law, Kevin R. Sonnycalb, a sister, Mary Diehl, and by two brothers, Virgil Flatter and Joe Flatter. Phyllis donated her body to the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Anatomical Gift Program. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial services will be held at 10am, Saturday, June 7, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Xenia, with Rev. Brian Maguire officiating.
