FAIRBORN — Helen L. Romans, age 78 of Fairborn, passed away Saturday August 16, 2014. She was born April 14, 1936 in West Liberty, KY, the daughter of the late William Ray and Audrey (France) Stapleton. Helen was a member of Faith Hill Church of God and she retired from the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Fairborn. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son, Terry Lee; a brother, Kurt Stapleton; and two sisters, Nannie LeMaster and Phyllis Erli. She is survived by her four girls, Pam (Dave) Carl of Fairborn, Penny (Bobby) Evans of Yellow Springs, Paula Goodwin of Fairborn, Peggy (Herb) Tipton of Englewood; step-daughter, Kristy (Roger) Newsome of New Carlisle; two grandsons, Terry (Esther) Adkins of Fairborn, Travis (Cassandra) Evans of West Liberty, KY; two great-grandsons, Terry Adkins, Jr., Levi Evans; five brothers, Robert (Betty) Stapleton, William (Joyce) Stapleton, A.J. Stapleton, Paul Stapleton, Jerry (Janice) Stapleton; two sisters, Josephine (Paul) Jarvis, Rosemary (Richard) Brown; five step great-grandchildren, Jay, Kale, Mason, Miles, Kaelyn; her beloved dog, Macey; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family. The family will receive friends on Wednesday August 20, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Thursday August 21, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., Donnie Pack officiating. Burial will follow in the Byron Cemetery.
