David Nimocks Obituary
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, August 17, 2018 in St. John's Episcopal Church with Father Robert Alves officiating. The family will receive friends at the Kyle House after the service.
David was born April 3, 1954, in Fayetteville, N.C., the son of David Ray Nimocks, Jr., and the late Elisabeth Holt Burns. A native of Fayetteville, he graduated from Terry Sanford High School in the Class of 1972 and from North Carolina State University in 1976.
David worked for the Terminix Company of North Carolina and was its President for a number of years. He founded Ensystex Inc. in 1994 and served as President and then Chairman for the last twenty-four years. He was also the Chairman of Relyus Direct Mail Solutions. David was appointed to the Board of Trustees of North Carolina State University in 2017.
He married Jayne Lynne Callahan on July 16, 1977.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jayne Lynne and sons, David Ray Nimocks IV (Amanda Lee), Joshua Graham Nimocks (Mary Frances Syfan, Tyler Callahan Nimocks (Amanda Upshaw); and six grandchildren, all of Fayetteville. He is also survived by his father, David Ray Nimocks, Jr.; and sisters, Mary Flagg Nimocks Haugh, Elisabeth Holt Gooch and Lalla Nimocks Harley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the David Ray Nimocks III Charitable Endowment at the Cumberland Community Foundation, PO Box 2345, Fayetteville, NC 28302, or online at www.cumberlandcf.org.

It is interesting, I was at the grocery store today, rushing to checkout so I could get home and make a particular dish. A greeting card caught my eye near the checkout line that reminded me of Mr. David Nimocks. I stopped and thought about him for a moment. I didn't realize until I was cleaning out my inbox and ran across an email from this legacy book reminding me that this is the 3rd anniversary of his passing. He is still thought of fondly, and the Nimocks family is prayed for often.

David was a very thoughtful and caring person, he was very supportive of me and my family in our many times of need. He was a loyal and caring man to work for and the 20+ years of my employment with him made my experience a pleasure. He was a man of great wisdom and a man I viewed with the greatest respect. Few people will ever know the things David has done for those around him. Both publicly and privately, he used his position and abilities to bless and improve the lives of people not only close to him but even people he barely knew. May his heart for others and his passion for his industry be infectious and spread to those who hear of him. His legacy lives through all of us who knew him and admired him through the years and strive to live a life worth celebrating, as he has done.

David was an exceptional human being as well a brilliant business man. Thoughtful, kind-hearted, courageous, honorable and upright to his core. It was a privilege to have the opportunity to assist him in pesticide legal affairs. Few like him will walk this way again.
