FAYETTEVILLE - Ethel Walker Brunjes, 80, of Fayetteville, died unexpectedly in her home. She was born in Marion on June 15, 1928, to Leroy Talmadge and Ida Epps Walker. Her husband Robert Herman Brunjes is also recently deceased. She is survived by her niece, Elaine Barnes of Asheville; and her nephew, Keith Barnes of Charleston, S.C. Ethel graduated from Glenwood High School in Marion and Blanton's Business School in Asheville. She retired as a civilian employee from Fort Bragg. She and Robert were married on June 11, 1988, at the First Baptist Church in Fayette-ville and remained completely devoted to each other. A visitation will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, 201 Anderson St., followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2009, in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 1311 Shipyard Blvd. in Wilmington. The Rev. Ed Beddingfield, of First Baptist Church, will conduct both services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial offerings be made to First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, 201 Anderson St., Fayetteville, NC 28301, 482-0477. Arrangements are by Andrews Mortuary of Wilmington.
