FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Billie Jean Baker, 60, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, in Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. Mrs. Baker leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Horace Baker; daughters, Rebecca Gockel and husband Brian of Taft, Calif., and Melanie Kaha and husband Randy of Fayetteville; mother, Bernice Watkins and husband Robert of Hamlet; three sisters, Diane Dawkins and husband Jack of Rockingham, Sandra Kirk and husband Ron of Rockingham, and Elaine Morgan and husband Claude of Winnabow; four brothers-in-law, Robert Baker and wife Kathy of Manahawkin, N.J., Charles Baker and wife Catherine of Lancaster, S.C., Father Don Baker of Phoenix, and Barry Baker of Hope Mills; and seven grandchildren, Ariel, Alex, Pete, Eric, Danielle, Patrick and Isabella. Mrs. Baker was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
