WEST LEBANON - Jerry C. Houchens, age 71 of West Lebanon died at 1:20 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at his residence.

Jerry was born in Glasgow, Ky. on September 3, 1941. He was the son of Willie C. and Willa N. (Woodcock) Houchens. He attended Wolcott High School and was a resident of Warren County most of his life.
He married Tina Hensley on May 20, 1983 in West Lebanon.
Jerry worked as a machinist Hyster Co. for 14 years then FMC Corp in Hoopeston, Ill. for 13 years. He worked for the Warren County Highway Dept. for 10 years before retiring in 2008. He coached West Lebanon Little League for 11 and a half years and was union steward for FMC Corp.
He liked collecting scaled model tractors, working in his yard and watching birds. He loved to go cruising in his jeep and his kids, daughter-in-laws, and grandchildren meant the world to him.
Surviving with his wife, Tina, are two sons, Jeff (Raymie) Houchens of Williamsport and Jon (Lisa) Houchens of Ocala, Fla., two sisters, Barbara (Follis) Staples of Glasgow, Ky. and Margaret (Joe) Stotler of Lawrenceburg, two granddaughters, Brittany Ranae Houchens and Tylee Marie Houchens. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be there in the chapel on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Randy Cary and James Moore officiating.
