Robert E. Sharpe

Robert "Bob" Edwin Sharpe, 87, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at The Elizabeth Scott Community. He was born in Liberty Center on April 11, 1926, to the late Dorsey Oliver and Carrie Catherine (Carver) Sharpe.

After graduating from Liberty Center High School, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country from 1944-46. He received an honorable discharge as a World War ll veteran in 1946. Prior to his retirement, he worked for 37 years at Dinner Bell Foods. Bob was an avid Ohio State football fan and Cleveland Browns fan. Everyone enjoyed his sense of humor and wittiness. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, the Wauseon VFW, and the Robinson-Gibbs American Legion Post.

He is survived by his children, Beverly Sharpe, Connie Rush, and James (Deborah) Sharpe; grandchildren, Kristina (Kenneth) Pringle, Kurt (Rachel) Sharpe, and Klint Sharpe; and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jarrett, Piper and McKenzy.

Bob was also preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Geneva Rose Sharpe.

Private funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home, with Pastor Ruth Ann Scoby officiating. Interment will follow at Wauseon Union Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
