Dorothy L. Williams, 94, of Wauseon, and formerly of Dayton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at Heartland of Wauseon. Dorothy was born in Everett, Ky., on Aug. 8, 1923, to the late Henry Beaver and the late Kate L. (Darling) Beaver. In 1940, she married H. B. "Red" Williams, and he preceded her in death in 1999.
Dorothy was a lifelong homemaker. She belonged to the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Dayton. She loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping, and also loved her family, often being very witty with them, but was extremely devoted to them. Cooking was another passion of hers.
She is survived by three granddaughters, Renee (Robert) Reynolds of Richmond, Ind., Rebecca (Shawn) Pettit of Napoleon, and Meagan Williams of Cincinnati; eight great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Red and Dorothy were blessed with two children, Donna (Williams) Reynolds and Patrick Williams, and both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a great-great-grandchild, Kashton Sutherland.
There will be no funeral services. Entombment will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018, at Forest Hill Memorial Gardens, 11890 N. Dixie Drive, Tipp City, Ohio.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
