Paul R. Raquet
Paul R. Raquet, age, 55, of rural Kiel, died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at his home.
He was born on October 6, 1956 in Sheboygan, son of Gordon & Rosemary (Miller) Raquet.
Paul attended Kiel schools and was a 1974 graduate of Kiel High School.
On October 8, 1977 he married Julie Ann Bruckner at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel and together they welcomed two daughters, Jamie & Cassandra.
Paul had previously worked at the former Schroeder's Super Market, AA Laun Lumber, Lakeside Harvester, Kiel Co-op Fertilizer Plant and had been currently employed at Kaytee Products since1985.
Paul was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, Kiel Jaycees, Kiel Optimist, Kiel Lions Club, Kiel FFA in High School & as an Alumni, Schleswig 4-H and in his earlier years was involved with the Kiel Athletics baseball team and KHS wrestling team.
He enjoyed sports, playing cards and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Julie, two daughters, Jamie Raquet, Fond du Lac, Cassie Raquet, Kiel, parents, Gordon & Rosemary Raquet, Kiel, brothers & sisters, Dave (Ann) Raquet, Ft. Myers, Fl., Mike (Lynnette) Raquet, Kiel, Mary Liermann, Valders & mother-in-law, Rosella Bruckner, Kiel. He is further survived by his in-laws, Kenny (Rogene) Bruckner, Kohler, Kathleen (Gene) Weber, Plymouth, Stan (Mary) Bruckner, Kiel, Janice (Terry) Abraham, Plymouth, Bruce Bruckner, Kiel, Lynette (Mike) Raquet, Kiel, niece & nephews, Adam (Kayla) Raquet, Kelly Raquet, Brad & Peter Liermann, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John, brother-in-law, Jim Liermann, father-in-law, Ralph Bruckner, his grandparents and one nephew.
The funeral Mass for Paul will be celebrated at 11:30 am, Thursday, October 4, 2012 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 413 Fremont St., Kiel with Rev. Loren Nys S.D.S. officiating.
Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
Family and friends may call at the Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th St., Kiel on Wednesday, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 11:00 am when brief family rites will be held.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his name.
Paul's family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Fox Valley Oncology, especially Dr. Goggins, Jennifer, Jamie, Julie & Mary Beth and to Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care he received.

I just found out about Paul, I am so sorry Julie. Mom was just telling me about his health last sunday when I came back home. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers!

I feel sad. Paul was one of "my" boys in the trumpet section. He always behaved-unlike his leader- but his smile every time I pulled off another caper on the top riser was so endearing. Too sad. Here's TAPS for you Bro. Love, Conrad
