Schroeder, Glenn D.
Glenn D. Schroeder, age 66 of Mt. Horeb, WI died on Friday, March 29, 2013 at his residence with his family at his side.
He was born November 3, 1946 in Fond du Lac, WI to Kenneth and Rose Mary (Burrill) Schroeder.
He attended Washington Grade School grades K-4, St. Louis Catholic School grades 5-8, and St. Mary's Spring High School grades 9-12. He married Grace A. Nett on December 27, 1975 in Fond du Lac, WI.
Glenn worked for his father from age 16 to age 26 with ServiceMaster and bought his own ServiceMaster franchise in 1973.
In 1987, he moved from Fond du Lac to purchase another ServiceMaster franchise in Mt. Horeb. In 1998, he started work as a custodian for the Mt. Horeb School System. He also served as custodian at the St. Louis and Sacred Heart churches in Fond du Lac, St. Mary's of Lourdes, now St. Francis of Assisi, St. Ignatius Catholic Church and the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Mt. Horeb.
He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Mt. Horeb for 26 years, he is now a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville. He was also actively involved in MHAP and SWEA where he served as a former past president and attended the National WEAC Conventions for 4 years. He was a member of several fraternal and civic organizations in both Fond du Lac and Mt. Horeb. In Fond du Lac, he was a member of the Kwanis, Boy Scouts, where he was a leader, Reader, usher and parish council at St. Louis Catholic Church.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #664, Council #6630 and Council #10559, where he held offices of Worthy Grand Knight, District Deputy, Resolution Committee member for the State and a delegate to the Knights of Columbus National Convention. He was a founder as a district deputy with the Mt. Horeb Knights of Columbus Council.
In Belleville and Mt. Horeb, he was the Knights of Columbus Insurance Agent. In Mt. Horeb, he was a member of the Rotary Club, Coached, refereed and was chain keeper of Youth Football. He participated in the Mt. Horeb Relay for Life Committee.
He is survived by his wife: Grace, his children: Sue Schroeder of Mt. Horeb, Theresa (Mike) Buechner of Mt. Horeb, Patty Schroeder of Las Vegas, Julie (David) Sutter of New Glarus, Adam Schroeder of Mt. Horeb, 2 grandchildren: Noah and Elijah Sutter and one Buechner on the way in August, 2 brothers: Ed (Helen) Schroeder of Plymouth, Mark (Barb) Schroeder of Fond du Lac, 2 sisters: Liz (Dwain) Jordan of Sheboygan, Mary Williams of Mt. Horeb, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother-in-law: Stanley Williams and father and mother-in-law: Edwin and Agnes Nett.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Belleville, WI. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Horeb, WI. A visitation will be held from 3-7 PM on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at ELLESTAD CAMACHO FUNERAL HOME, 500 N 8th St., Mt. Horeb, WI where a rosary service will be at 3:00 PM.

Glenn was a wonderful person. He was always good to me even though I
lived at the childrens home. I will never forget him. He was my friend from Washington, St Louis, and the Springs. My deepest sympathy to the entire family.
