Geraldine H. Hensel, 95, of Fond du Lac died peacefully Tuesday Feb. 3, 2015 at the Liberty House in Fond du Lac. She was born in Fond du Lac on April 27, 1919, the daughter of Harold and Esther Grueder Karst. She graduated from Goodrich High School in 1938. On Aug. 8, 1953 Gerry married Wilbur Hensel at Church of Peace UCC in Fond du Lac. Geraldine worked as a billing clerk at Damerow Brothers for many years. Geraldine was a member of the Church of Peace, Fond du Lac Senior Center, AARP, Golden Agers and the MPTI Homemakers Club.



Those left behind to cherish her memory include one brother John (Rhonda) Karst of Fond du Lac, two nephews Terry Koch of Stevens Point and Michael Koch of Upland, IN and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilbur on Nov. 4, 1976, one sister Carol J. Dolse.



Funeral Services will be Fri. Feb. 6th at 11:00 AM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Avenue, Fond du Lac with Rev. Jenny Dawson will officiate and burial will follow at Rienzi Cemetery in Fond du Lac. Visitation will be Friday Feb. 6th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Twohig Funeral Home.
