Marsch, Lucy Lilly

Lucy Lilly Marsch, age 100, of Horicon, WI, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Chuch in Horicon with the Rev. Fr. Mike Petri presiding. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, from 10:00 am -11:00 am at the church. Burial will take place at St. Malachy Cemetery.

Lucy was born the daughter of Guy and Cecelia (Schabel) Wild on December 26, 1912, in LeRoy, Wisconsin. On September 16, 1933, she was married to Walter 'Pete' Marsch in LeRoy, Wisconsin at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Lucy was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary in Horicon where she wrote letters and cards to Veterans. She also volunteered at Clearview in Juneau and sponsored a child overseas with the Children's Christian Fund. In her spare time, Lucy enjoyed bowling and traveling on different tours and vacations.

Lucy is survived by her children, Ronald (Kathleen) Marsch of Beaver Dam; Gerald (Marlene) Marsch of Horicon; Joan (James) Schaefer of Lake Dalton; David (Mary) Marsch of Horicon; Robert Marsch of Horicon; Sandy (Richard) Sternat of AZ; Kathleen (John) Gaffney of Pewaukee; and Mary (Kevin) Kreuziger of Horicon; her brother, Robert (Pat) Wild of Juneau; her sister, Mae Funk of Fond du Lac; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1967, and 1 daughter, Caroline in 1952; and sisters and brothers.
