Raymond G. Commo, 94, of Fond du Lac, passed away at Manor Care Nursing Home on Tuesday, March 26, 2013.

Ray was born in Fond du Lac on February 8, 1919 the son of George and Etta Dubois Commo. He graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1936. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1941. He served during WWII as a Medical Officer stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He served until 1946 ending his military career as a Captain.

On April 10, 1944 he married Paula Rushesky in St. Josaphat's Church, Oshkosh.

Ray worked at Giddings & Lewis Machine Tool Company from 1940 to 1974 retiring as Vice President in Human Resources/Personnel. After retirement, Ray started Raymond G. Commo Associates and became a Personnel Consultant for various businesses retiring again in 1984.

Ray is survived by his son, Steven (Patricia) Commo of Bradenton FL; six grandchildren, Jennifer Commo, Anthony (Teresa) Prus, Jeffrey (Jaclyn) Commo, Brian Commo, Christina (Jason) Schuette and Andrea (special friend, Brad O'Malley) Prus; six great grandchildren, Olivia, David, Gregory, Carly, Natalie, and Mason; son-in-law, Minor Prus of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding Ray in death are his wife of 67 years Paula on November 23, 2011; two children, William Commo in July 1966 and Constance Prus in May 1994.

Visitation: Ray's family will receive relatives and friends at the Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St., Fond du Lac on Friday, March 29, 2013 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM.

Services: A Service of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Zacherl Funeral Home on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.

Memorials in his name may be directed to the family.
