Ronnie G. Kiefer, age 25, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday evening, January 1, 2014, at his home. Born on January 20, 1988, in Waupun, the son of Eugene Kiefer and Patti Floeter, Ronnie was a 2009 graduate of Fond du Lac High School.
Since the time he was eight years old, Ronnie attended the Boys & Girls Club and continued to volunteer as often as he could, helping the younger children with various activities. He had achieved Highest Citizen Award in 2008 at a banquet. He received praises from Director Dan Hebel of the Boys & Girls Club,recognition from Past Director Ryan Shields, and a Letter of Appreciation from James Clark, President and CEO of Boys & Girls Club of America. Ronnie was Lutheran by faith, a participant in Special Olympics
, participated in "Fondy Idol," and was a participant in Free Spirit Riders. He was employed by Brooke Industries in Fond du Lac.
Survivors include his father, Eugene of Fond du Lac; his mother, Patti (Dewey) Schedler of Princeton; a sister, Rebecca of Ripon; a brother, Bobbie of Neenah; a half-brother, David of Markesan; aunts and uncles, Judy (Don) Blada of Coloma, Donald (Judy) Kiefer of Charlotte, North Carolina, Doris (Daryl) Morgan of Fond du Lac, Donna (Ron Bruce) Stephany of Fond du Lac, Karen (Robert) Lowery of Fond du Lac, Nancy Kiefer of Theresa, and Terry (Linda) Floeter of Portage; and many cousins. Preceding Ronnie in death are his paternal grandparents, Andrew and Lucille Kiefer and maternal grandparents, Harvey and Janet Floeter; two uncles, Leo and Terry Kiefer; one aunt, Paula Kiefer; and a cousin, Kate Stephany.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2014, at 5:00 p.m., at the Eagles Club, 515 N. Park Ave., Fond du Lac. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Sunday, January 19, from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the Eagles Club. Ronnie's family wishes to thank the Fond du Lac Boys & Girls Club for all the kindness shown to Ronnie over the years.
