Hoey, Eileen F.

Eileen Frances Hoey, 88, a resident of Fond du Lac, passed away with her family at her side on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at the St. Francis Home.

She was born June 1, 1926 in Fond du Lac, a daughter of the late Fred and Hilda (Dewy) Schingen.

On December 6, 1948 she married Robert H. Hoey at the Church of the Holy Ghost, Denver, CO.

Eileen was a graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School in 1945. She was employed by the Fond du Lac Store and retired from Prange way. Eileen was the family seamstress. She enjoyed gambling, strawberry picking, gardening, and spending time with her family. Eileen was a member of Holy Family Parish.

Survivors include one son, Robert (Chris) Hoey, a daughter Jane (Dan) Barr all of Fond du Lac, five grandchildren, Rachel (Mike) Schneider, Ryan (Pam) Barr, Mandy (Joey) Galligan, Cory (special friend Anne Pittl), Andrew Barr, all of Fond du Lac, and five great-grandchildren, Sophia and Spencer Schneider, Nevaeh, Maliyah and Sawyer Galligan. She is further survived by two brothers, Gordon Schingen and Jerome (Bernadine) Schingen, one sister, Joan Andrew all of Fond du Lac, and by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert on December 12, 2007, three brothers, Robert, Barney and Donald Schingen, three sisters, Grace Schingen, Evelyn Maniatis and Jeanette Kaiser.

Visitation: Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 1, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 11:45 at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish, 200 South Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday 12:00 Noon at Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
