Schmidt, Brenda L.

Brenda L. Schmidt, 53, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, June 23, 2012, at her residence. She was born May 9, 1959, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Chester A. and Audrey M. Willis Oaks. On July 15, 1978, she married Darwin L. Schmidt at Church of Peace, Fond du Lac. Brenda worked for the ARC of Fond du Lac for 17 years. She enjoyed playing piano, painting, collecting buffalo, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

SURVIVORS: her husband, Darwin; three children, Andrea Behnke, Fond du Lac; Christopher (Kea) Schmidt, Fond du Lac; Erin (Nathan) Delzer, Oshkosh; five grandsons, Anthony, Ethan, Skyler, Camren, and Keeton; one granddaughter, Tehya. She is further survived by her mother, Audrey (Gerald) DeWalt, Rockford, IL; three sisters, Marilyn (Roger) Verhasselt, Fond du Lac; Vicki (Bernie) Hoover, Fond du Lac; Heather (Michael) Montana, Rockford, IL; one brother-in-law, Mark Newgren, Waterloo, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister, Donna Newgren.

VISITATION: will be from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Schrankler officiating. Entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
