Donald Marvin Mueller, 77, a resident of Fond du Lac, went peacefully to God's Heavenly Home, on Oct. 11, 2011, surrounded by his wife and children.

He was born Sept. 28, 1934, in the Town of Forest, a son of the late Harold and Malinda Pfeifer Mueller.
He married the love of his life, Shirley Duley, on Oct. 9, 1956, at St. Mary's Rectory.
Donald served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956, where he was stationed in England.
His career included the Brenner Tank Company for eight years; and Mercury Marine for eight years.
In 1972, he helped establish a business that is presently D. Mueller Industries Inc., which he was currently active in. He previously was a welding instructor at Moraine Park Technical College.
Donald was a member of Holy Family Parish; the Knights of Columbus Council 664; and American Legion Post 75.
Donald was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His many loves include boating on area lakes, taking road trips, dancing with his wife, summer vacations "Up North," and manicuring the landscaping at his home.
Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Shirley; one son, Randy (Melinda) Mueller of Fond du Lac; three daughters, Cynthia (special friend, Richard Roesgen) Schnapp of Plymouth, Lynda (Bill) Wangler of Elmhurst, Ill., and Donna (Terry) Flesch of Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren, Josh, Steve and Laura Mueller, Angie (special friend, Chris Schneider) Schnapp, and Tyson (Rachel) Schnapp, Sadie, Cora (fiancée, Ryan von Holst), Michael and Taylor Wangler; one great-granddaughter, Kiara Schneider. He is further survived by a sister, Lorna (Tom) Duley; four sisters-in-law, Nancy Huck, Patricia Sampson, Jean Duley and Carol Mueller; two brothers-in-law, Jim (Pat) Duley and Tom (Lorna) Duley; and by nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Mueller; three sisters-in-law, Ethel Kairis Grunwald, Mary Hohlweck and Virginia Duley Gaertig; eight brothers-in-law, Alvin, Vernon, Earl and Ray Duley, John Kairis, Kenneth Grunwald, John Huck and Cecil Sampson.
VISITATION: Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, from 1 to 2:45 p.m., at Holy Family Parish Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m., at the church. The American Legion Post 75 will conduct military honors following the services.
Entombment will be held Saturday at the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
"Don's philosophy was to always treat people the way you would like to be treated. He truly taught us to live well, laugh often, and love much. He was a great person and we will miss him dearly."
