Douglas L. Trepanier

Douglas L. Trepanier, age 83, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Woodlands Senior Living. He was born on March 21, 1930 in Oconto, WI, the son of Marvin and Bernice (Hickey) Trepanier. Doug was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School and served 9 years with the 32nd Red Arrow division of the US Army National Guard in Fond du Lac. On October 14, 1950 he married Betty Abhold at St. Mary's Church in Fond du Lac. Doug was a happy and proud businessman in Fond du Lac for many years. He owned and operated Trepanier's Beer & Liquor West (1954 - 1994), East (1972-1990) and partnered in Parkway Lanes from 1976-1988. He celebrated life to the fullest by participating in high school sports, golfing, bowling, snowmobiling and dancing with his wonderful wife of almost 63 years. Thanks to Dr. James Avery he was able to enjoy his later years by watching & listening to most sports particularly never missing a Packer, Brewer, or Bucks game. He was dedicated to and appreciated his wonderful family who will miss him dearly but have been happily left with his spirit forever.

Doug is survived by his dancing partner of 62 years, Betty of Fond du Lac; three grateful sons, Mike (Carol), Mark (Patty), both of Fond du Lac and Gary Trepanier of Mequon, WI; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Kevin) Fessler, Suzanne (Nick) Christian, Sara Trepanier, Colleen (Charlie Wilke) Trepanier, Mary (Derek) Tennessen, and Zach (Kayla Costello) Trepanier; five great grandchildren: Vincent, Max, Mya, Eleanor and John; one brother Robert (Delores) Trepanier all of Fond du Lac, as well as one sister Joan Brunet of Vero Beach, FL.
