Edward A. Galligan, 87, of the Town of Osceola, passed away on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at the Kindred Hearts of Fond du Lac.

Ed was born in the Town of Osceola on Aug. 12, 1924, the son of the late Ezra and Anna (nee Kutz) Galligan.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1949.
Ed worked at Kohler Co., the Elwing Broom Factory in Campbellsport, and then at the Eden Feed Mill before retiring.
He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and gardening.
Survivors include his brother, James (Jackie) Galligan; his sisters, Doris (Bob) Way, Ruth Long and Genevieve (Melvin) Stoffel; his sisters-in-law, Donna Galligan and JoAnn Galligan; his brother-in-law, Charles Vargas; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
Ed was preceded in death by his brothers, Levi, Donald, Orville, Roy and Marvin; his sisters, Laura Galligan and Mabel Wehner Varga; his sisters-in-law, Virginia Galligan and Patsy Galligan; and his brothers-in-law, Herb Wehner and Leo Long.
SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Sunday Jan. 8, at 7 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. in Campbellsport, with military services to follow. The Rev. Laura Hawkins will officiate.
Entombment will be on Monday at 10 a.m. at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac.
VISITATION: Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Heartland Hospice.
