Schneiter, Milfred Ervin

Milfred Ervin Schneiter, 80, of Lomira, passed away on Wednesday evening, July 17, 2013, with his family at his side.

He was born December 1, 1932, in Knowles, the son of the late Ernst and Hilda (Schwartz) Schneiter.

On August 25, 1956, he married Lillian Brinkman at Zion Lutheran Church in KohIsville. Milfred served in the Korean War and later hauled milk for Gourme' Cheese Factory and he was employed a short time at Blue Band Mill. Later he worked at Grande Cheese factory for 32 years retiring in 1998. Milfred was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lomira and the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post, 347 Lomira. Milfred enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved gardening, train sets, puzzle books, and playing cards. He was also very good at math, and was very good at remembering birth dates. He also knew many families around the LeRoy area. He enjoyed watching the Wheel of Fortune and wrestling.

He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Lillian of 56 years; 5 children, Marilyn Boswell of North Fond du Lac; Lucille Hein (special friend, Paul Resch) of Manitowoc; Darlene Mangan and her husband, Lee of Slinger; Gregory Schneiter of Neenah; and Michael Schneiter of Two Rivers; 4 grandchildren, Elliott Boswell and his wife, Sonya of Ashippun; Emily Boswell of North Fond du Lac; Anna Boswell (special friend, Albert Dehler) Fond du Lac; and Andrew Hein of Manitowoc; And 1 great-grandson, Albert Dehler IV, Fond du Lac.

He is also survived by 5 brothers, Norman of Glenbulah; Orville and his wife, Pat of Lomira; James of Horicon; Jay (special friend, Sheila) of Oconto Falls; and Kenneth of Iron Ridge; 3 sisters, Lillian Wondra of Mayville; Geraldine Zirbel and her husband, William of Iron Ridge; and Georgiann Schneiter of Waupun. Milfred is also survived by sister and brothers-in-law, Kathleen Schneiter of West Bend; Gerald Stern of Kewaskum; and Raymond Brinkman of North Fond du Lac. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Maynard and his wife, Vi, and Gerald Schneiter; one sister, Donna Mae Stern; and one niece, Deanna Schneiter; 4 sisters-in law, Florence Schneiter, Lorraine Schneiter, Marjorie Schneiter, and Dr. Bernice Brinkman; one brother-in-law, Earl Wondra and his in-laws, Albert and Magdalena Brinkman.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lomira. Visitation will be from 11:00am to the time of services. The Reverend Daniel Schmidt will preside and burial will be held at Theresa Union Cemetery.

Memorials may be made out to St. John's Lomira Organ fund. The family would like to thank the Hartland Hospice team and the staff at Mayville Nursing Home for their excellent care of Milfred.
