Ruth Lueptow Obituary
Lueptow, Ruth P.

At the Markesan Barrett House on May 28, 2014, Ruth left this temporal sphere of existence and entered the eternal life at the age of 92 years.

Ruth Pauline Lueptow was born into this world on the 18th day of October in the Lord, 1921, in Mecan, Marquette County, Wisconsin, to her parents, Henry and Linda (Mueller) Krause. On October 20, 1921, she was given spiritual birth into God's family by means of Baptism by Rev. Martin Huebner. Ruth was confirmed by faith in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior on October 7, 1934, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Mecan, by Pastor August Mueller.

Ruth grew up on her parent's farm in the Montello area. As a woman, she worked 13 years at the Ripon Knitting Works. Ruth was united in marriage to Gerald Lueptow of Markesan on October 30, 1955. They farmed until January 1984, and then moved to the city of Markesan. Ruth and Gerald were blessed with one daughter and one son. On January 12, 1994, Gerald passed away.

Ruth was an active life-long member of Trinity Lutheran Mecan. She enjoyed gardening, loved flowers and fishing and enjoyed watching the Milwaukee Brewers. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She belonged to the Markesan Historical Society, the Markesan Seniors, and the Manchester Seniors. She loved playing cards and the good pot lucks.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Gayle (Bill) Baggett, her son, Randall (Rita) Lueptow, two grandsons, Brandon and Dustin Baggett, all of Markesan, a step-granddaughter, Corey Baggett.

She was predeceased by her husband, parents, three brothers, Ervin, Walter and her twin brother, Gilbert, and two sisters, Mabel and baby sister, Caroline. Funeral services for Ruth Lueptow will be held at 11 a.m. on June 4, 2014, at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 N Margaret Street, Markesan, with Pastor Gary Zacharias officiating. Burial will follow in the Markesan Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3 from 5 - 7 p.m. and on Wednesday beginning at 9:30 until the hour of service.

The body of Ruth will be at rest in the Markesan Cemetery, where she will remain with all the dead until the last and coming day in which Jesus Christ who is the resurrection and the life shall grant her resurrection of the body.
