Wietor, Ervin Jr.

Ervin L. Wietor, Jr. 65 of South Byron passed away Sat. June 21, 2014 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 27, 1948 in Fond du Lac, the son of Ervin and Louise (Dittle) Wietor, Sr. On Oct. 8, 1966 Ervin married Carol A. Huettner at Immanuel Trinity Church in Fond du Lac. He worked for the Soo Line Railroad for a number of years before starting his own business refacing kitchen cabinets and doing general carpentry. Ervin loved to fish and hunt but most important to him was spending time with his family.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife Carol, his daughter Debbie (Todd) Stopen of Fond du Lac, his son Brian Wietor of Mayville, his five grandchildren Xavier, Brian Jr., Kristina, Stephanie and Nicole, his sister Kathryn (Louis) Batterman of Fond du Lac, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Susan Schraufnagel.

A visitation will be held Wed. June 25, 2014 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Twohig Funeral Home 305 Fond du Lac Ave. Fond du Lac with a memorial service at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with inurnment to follow at Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac.

The family extends a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Cancer Center and the nurses and staff of St. Agnes Hospice Hope for their care and concern for Ervin during his illness.
