Donald E. Grams, 80, of Waupun, died Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center in Madison.

Don was born Dec. 31, 1930, in Waupun, the son of Edwin and Dorothy Welk Grams.
Don attended Waupun schools, graduating from Waupun High School in 1948.
On May 28, 1955, he married Donna Hoesly in Wisconsin Rapids. The couple resided in Waupun the majority of their married lives.
Don was employed by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue as a Tax Representative for 34 years, retiring in 1991.
He was a member of Pella Lutheran Church where he served as Trustee for several years.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving for four and a half years. Don was a member of American Legion Post 210 of Waupun.
He loved Waupun Little League, where he was a manager and also coached for several years. Don was the coach of Waupun's 1981 Senior Division State Championship team.
His commitment to his family came first and he had the great pleasure of coaching his sons in Little League.
Donald is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna Grams of Waupun; a daughter, Jill (David) Pluim of Hartford; three sons, Greg (Mary) Grams of DeForest, David (Jacqueline) Grams of Rocky River, Ohio, Jon Grams of Madison; five grandchildren, Steve (Stephanie) Grams, Chris Grams, Emma and Katie Pluim, and Emily Enslow; a great-granddaughter, Aurelia Grams; a brother, Kenneth (LaVonne) Grams of Waynesboro, Pa.; two sisters, Barbara (Richard "Bill") Thomas of Beaver Dam, Mary (Rich Sauer) Vande Zande of Plover.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Dorothy Welk Grams; and an infant daughter.
SERVICES: Funeral services for Donald Grams will be held Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at 10:30 a.m., at Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun, with the Rev. Michael Stock officiating.
Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
VISITATION: Friends and relatives of Donald Grams may call on the family on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun; and on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
The American Legion Post 210 of Waupun will provide military honors.
