Jeffrey Lee Zuberbier, P-A.-C, of Phoenix, Arizona, son of Sally Powers-Albertz, died unexpectedly October 4, 2012, at 51 years of age.
Bom December 15, 1960, in Fond du Lac, he was the son of Sally (nee Powers) and Ronald W. Zuberbier. When he was two years of age, his stepfather Lincoln H. Albertz came into his life and was always a great influence in Jeffs decisions.
Jeff retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service as a Captain. He served for five years at Clark Air Base in the Philippine Islands, where he married Juliana Jurban in 1985. Juliana preceeded him in death in 2006.
While serving in the Air Force, Jeff graduated from Nebraska State College as a Physicians Assistant. Medicine was his first love and his patients in Phoenix have made it very clear that he will be sorely missed, Patients knew him as kind and gentle, with their welfare foremost in his mind.
Survivors include his children, Sharon (Marlow) Rhughio of London, England; Joshua and Adam Zuberbier of Phoenix; and Simon at home. Other survivors include his mother, Sally Powers-Albertz, a brother, Scott Zuberbier and a sister, Tara Suprenand, all of Fond du Lac.
Preceeding him in death was his wife, Juliana; his stepfather, Lincoln Albertz; and his father, Ronald Zuberbier.
Cremation has taken place. Inumment will be at Ledgeview Memorial Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, at Ledgeview Memorial Cemetery Chapel. According to Jeffs' wishes there will not be a Memorial service. In place of flowers, a memorial has been established for his son, Simon's education.
