James F. "Peanuts' Becker, 82 years old, of 438 Ashford Ave., Lomira, formerly of 258 N. Henninger St., Mayville, WI, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Hope Health and Rehabilitation in Lomira.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 23 at noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mayville, with Rev. Father Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 23 from 10 a.m. to noon at the St. Mary Catholic Church, Mayville. Burial will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Mayville.
Jimmy was born on January 2, 1931 in Mayville, WI, to Oscar P. and Marcella (Boehmer) Becker. He was a dedicated Mayville School District custodian and crossing guard. He was a active member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Peanuts always had a love for Mayville Sports; he was a legendary Cardinals scorekeeper for 47 years and also wrote sporting articles for the Mayville News.
Jimmy is survived by his sisters, Nadeane (Robert) Semrow of Mukwonago; and Joyce Giseke of San Francisco, CA.; further survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his two sisters, Eunice (Earl) and LuAnn (Richard); three nephews, Robert, Richard, and Thomas.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or School or St. Agnes Hospice.
