Elvers, Marland E.

Marland E. Elvers, 80, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, February 24, 2013, at his residence. He was born April 29, 1932, in Ripon, the son of Arthur P. and Hattie A. Parker Elvers. Marland was a graduate of Ripon High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. On November 1, 1970, he married Rosalie M. Kustka in Las Vegas. She preceded him in death on October 5, 2007. He worked in grocery in Milwaukee until 1989, when he retired.

Surviving are two sons, Mark (Deborah) Elvers of Lubbock, TX; and Matthew (Theresa) Elvers of Waukesha; seven grandchildren, 10 grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert Elvers of Fond du Lac; and Arden (Deborah) Elvers of Milwaukee. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Additional information and guestbook may be found at www.ueckerwitt.com
