David W. Zinniel, 84, of California died peacefully on February 2, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born November 27, 1928 in Fond du Lac to Paul A. and Katherine Zils Zinniel.
He graduated in 1946 from Lowell P. Goodrich High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed in Japan during the Occupation. He graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and began his career as a graphic artist in Canoga Park, CA. He met and married the love of his life, Patricia Ellen Brautigan on December 26, 1957 in Princeton, WI.
Survivors include two daughters: Anne (Paul) Lucitt and Ellen Zinniel both of CA; his brother Leo C. (Lois) Zinniel of Fond du Lac and their children, Andrea (Jack) Hando and Thomas P. (Debra) Zinniel of Lomira; grandchildren; as well as the three sons of his brother Edward, Walter "Peck" (Ellen), Pete (Lynn) and Jim Zinniel all of Fond du Lac.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws; brothers: Edward (Audrey) Zinniel and Robert Paul (Violet) Zinniel.
