Meg, Mrs. McLane, was the best Mom. She hosted many sleepovers and fun Lake Denevue parties for her daughter Kathy's Jr high school friends. She was a role model for me. Many grand memories with you. My deepest sympathies.

We were so sorry to hear of Meg's passing. She is fondly remembered on the UW-Fond du Lac campus. She touched many students during her time here, and her continued support of the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation helped many students after her teaching years concluded. Her family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I have many wonderful memories of time spent with Meg in Fond du lac, on campus in Madison, at Lake de Neveu and even in Hudson. She was a real 'pistol' but oh so nice, so gracious and so kind. She became a friend as I had the good fortune to be able to assist her with a fund she established in Development Studies that will continue to support PhD students. Her legacy will make a difference, but losing her makes me sad...

I was fortunate to have seen her one last time at the cottage in August of 2013. She was a lovely person. Life flies by too quickly. It seems like yesterday that I watched from the cottage next door the McLanes canoe across the lake with dad at the stern and mom at the bow with the kids in between. What a wonderful family.

I extend my deepest sympathy to your family. It has been a long time and you knew my mother well, Florence Immel. My mom passed in 2004, 10 years ago at the age of 95. There isn't a day I don't think of her. I know you will do the same. Your mom is at peace and may Our Lord grant her family peace.

This past summer, it was my delightful privilege to spend time with Meg, and her wonderful daughter Annie, in Fond du Lac. I will always cherish those memories, and the special time that we shared together as friends. Meg's exceptional warmth and intellect, zest for life and travel, and keen appreciation of nature, are an inspiration for generations of women. My heartfelt sorrow for your loss, and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
