Albrecht, Curtis

Curtis A. Albrecht, 30, of Fond du Lac died on Sunday June 28, 2015 at UW Hospital in Madison as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born in St. Mary's Hospital in Madison on Sept 11, 1984, the son of Paul and Beverly Smith Albrecht. He grew up in the Markesan area and attended Faith Lutheran School through the 8th grade. He attended Markesan High School and graduated from Immanuel Lutheran High School in Eau Claire. After High School, Curt attended Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton. He worked at a variety of jobs. Most recently he worked for the CN Railroad for the past year as a signal and switch maintainer. Curt was passionate about life. He was always willing to help, he loved to run marathons, body build and cut wood. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He loved to debate and discuss politics, theology and genuinely cared about everyone. His faith in Christ, his Savior was constant.

Those left behind to cherish his memory the love of his life Erica Doubek of Stevens Point, his father Paul (Valerie) Albrecht of Ripon and his mother Beverly Albrecht of Mauston, his siblings: Bridget (Nick) Brevik of Lincoln, NE, Kimberly (Joshua) Grinnell of Fond du Lac and Peter (Lisa) Albrecht of Campbellsport, Maternal Grandparents Ron (Pat) Smith of Waupun, 2 nephews: Vance Roemer and Ryan Brevik and 3 nieces: Keira Brevik, Tesslee Grinnell and Alyssa Flitter, aunts, uncles: Lisa (Lynn) Dumke of Kingston, Holly (Larry) Youngerberg of Caledonia, MN, James (Jolene) Albrecht of Okabena, MN, Linda (Jim) Kayzer of Ogema, Tony (Elizabeth) Smith of Whitelaw and Liz Busch-Gay of Waupun, cousins and many other relatives and friends. Curt was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Rev. Egbert (Lois) Albrecht.

Memorial Services will be Wed. July 1st at 7:00 PM at Luther Memorial Church at 134 21st Street, Fond du Lac with the Rev. Neal Radichel officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday July 1, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the church. Memorials appreciated to Luther Memorial Church. Even as my uncle, he was a great person. He would act like my best friend, asking me if I would like to do things with him. Every time we went fishing he would tell me stories of fishing, and the fun he had. He is/a awesome man.

I chose Hymn 597 ---- Upon special request I am going to sing Hymn 597 on Sunday , July 5th at Prince of Peace in Loveland,Co. in memory of Curt. My prayers and thoughts with Curt's family. God give you comfort and strength. Knowing that Curt is with the Lord now. I will never forget him. I remember Curt for his humor, when he was a little boy. Remembering when Curt and his family came in 1990 to visit his Uncle Steve and I. Knowing that Curt worked with the railroad, it will give me comfort when I hear the train rolling through my town, where I live and remember my dear nephew, Curt. I was so blessed to have him for a nephew.

My condolences on the passing of Curt. He worked for us here at Muthig for about 3 years. Always was a guy with a smile on his face and worked very hard. This news saddened all of us that were close to him as he was part of our family.
