Nella Mae Croswhite(1931 - 2018)

Nella Mae Croswhite, 86, of Hallsville, MO, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at New Mark Care Center in Kansas City, MO.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 from 10:30 am – 11:30 am at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, MO, with graveside services to follow.
Nella was born December 8, 1931 in Granada, CO to Roy and Laila (Stapleton) Croswhite. Growing up in Hallsville she loved sports and fishing. She graduated from Hallsville High School in 1949 where she was a prolific scorer in basketball and earned the name "Hot Dog Nellie". She spent the majority of her life in Denver, CO, and enjoyed traveling, bowling, and rooting for the Broncos. She retired after 34 years at Samsonite Luggage Company, and then volunteered delivering meals for The Senior Hub.
Survivors include: a sister, Marian Rexroat (Charles) of Columbia, MO; a brother Max Croswhite of Kansas City, MO; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Dorene (Croswhite) Bartlett and a brother, Donald Croswhite.
