Shirley Jo (Jennings Ankrom) Colley(1934 - 2018)

Shirley Jo Jennings Ankrom Colley, 83 of Higbee, formerly of Centralia, died Monday June 25, 2018 at the Moberly Nursing and Rehab.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Friday, June 29, 2018 at Fenton Funeral Chapel in Centralia, with burial to follow in the Glendale Memorial Gardens in Centralia. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral chapel on Friday.
Shirley was born on October 16, 1934 in Centralia the daughter of James Curtis and Mary Francis(Jennings) Jennings.
On May 18, 1950 in Pocahontas, AR, Shirley married Aubrey Ankrom and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1983, later, she married Charles Curtis Colley and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1994.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Arnold Leslie Ankrom of Higbee, William E. Ankrom and wife Lana of Riverton, IL; step-children, Aubrey Ankrom of Norcross, GA, Peggy Joann Jennings and husband Roger of Sturgeon, and Charles Collin Colley of Grain Valley; four grandchildren, Travis Lee Ankrom, and Amanda Lynn Ankrom both of Centralia, Christine Marie Ankrom, Andrew William Ankrom both of Riverton, IL; great-grandson, Nolan Lucas Ankrom of Centralia; sister, Carol Sue Perkins (Joe) of Harrisburg.
Along with her parents and husbands, Shirley was preceded in death a son, Terrell Lynn Ankrom, a step-daughter, Barbara June Mattson, siblings, Albert "Sonny" Q. Miles, Gary Lane Miles, Shirley Ann Hargis.
Shirley worked as an accountant in the auditing department at Sears while living in St. Louis. She also worked in the accounts receivable department for the University of Missouri, was the senior account clerk and handled the state account for artificial prosthesis replacements. Shirley then worked at the Veterinary School as secretary for the large animal department. After leaving the Veterinary School, Shirley went to work at the Moberly Correctional Center, then retiring in 1996.
