I lived across the street from Dick and Mary Jane on Woodside Ave. Still remember the first winter that I was driving my 65 Dodge Dart and couldn't get up the hill. Once I was able to get the car up, Dick promptly came over with two double cement blocks and we put them in the trunk of my car. I went everywhere and up Lowe Street hill with no problems after that ! He was my hero !! My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I was fortunate to work foundations with him Duck in the early 70's... it was fun but brutal...I fondly remember a flashlight held by my teeth at 5 pm in Concord, Ma in January, listening to him say..." up, up, up, up...good." as he was on the transit and I was placing grade nails. We also worked jobs with Dick Porter...and always a few beers on Spruce St afterwards... a good man, never forgotten. Happy Trails Duck.
