Jack Dickerson
of Leominster, WWll Vet; 94
LEOMINSTER -- Jack Dickerson, 94 years old, of Leominster, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, in the Golden Living Center in Fitchburg.
He is survived by his stepson, Douglas Kyles of California; two brothers, Douglas Dickerson of Georgia and William Dickerson and his wife, Jackie of Georgia; two sisters, China Dickerson of Nevada, and Leila Martin of Georgia; three granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lucy W. (Hazard) Dickerson, and stepson, Richard Kyles.
Jack was born October 15, 1918 in Greenville, Georgia, son of Douglas and Katie (Martin) Dickerson, and had lived in Leominster for the past 67 years.
He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran.
Jack was a member of the Teamsters and was a union truck driver. He also was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leominster.
DICKERSON -- A graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, December 22, 2012 in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 4-6 pm in the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. www.richardsonfuneralhome.net
