Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother
WESTMINSTER -- Nancy Lee (Tibbetts) Cooley, died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family.
She leaves her husband, Parker Erlon Cooley; one daughter, Jeanne Carroll and her husband, John David Carroll Jr. of Bremen, ME; two sons, Kevin Cooley and Patrick Cooley, both of Westminster; three grandchildren, Ryan Cooley of Gardner, John David Carroll, III of NY, NY, and Jessica Megan Carroll of Belmont; two brothers, Elmer Tibbetts of Portland, ME, Charles Tibbetts of Bath, ME; one sister, Donna Dodge of Freeport, ME; and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was born on July 28, 1939, in Washington, ME, a daughter of the late Elmer and Ruth (Burnham) Tibbetts. She graduated from Bath High School in 1956. She and her husband moved to Gardner in 1958 and then to Westminster in 1967. She worked as a nursing assistant at the former Gardner Manor Nursing Home, as a mental health worker, at the former Gardner State Hospital, and also as a recreational therapy assistant at the Community Treatment Program in Fitchburg.
Nancy grew up on an Island in Maine, and loved the Maine Coast. Her favorite food was Lobster and any kind of fish. She enjoyed knitting, reading and to argue over politics. She was also a fabulous cook and especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who loved her.
COOLEY -- A Celebration of Nancy's life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., in the Bread of Life, Assembly of God Church, 22 State Road East, Westminster, MA 01473. Burial, in Maine, will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy's name to the Gardner VNA and Hospice, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.

Sending my love to Uncle Parker, Jeanne,John, JD, Jessica, Pat, Kevin, and Ryan. I love you all and wish that I could be there to hug each one of you. Aunt Nancy is celebrating with all those she loves now and we will all see her again one day.
