David W. Waitt, Sr, 83 Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather FITCHBURG -- David W. Waitt, Sr, 83, died at his home, Monday, June 27, 2016 after an illness. He leaves his wife of 60 years, Gloria E. (Brosseau) Waitt; one son, David W. Waitt, Jr and his wife Rose of Gardner; one daughter, Debra Hills and her husband John of New Ipswich, NH; one granddaughter, Crystal Waitt of Worcester; one step-grandson, Kevin J. Connolly of Leominster, and one great-grandson, Ilaan Narcisse of Worcester. David and Gloria would have been married 61 years on July 9th. He was born in Ware, MA on May 17, 1933 a son of the late Henry H. and Bernice R. (Bostock) Waitt. He worked for the Hollingsworth & Vose Paper Co. as a shipper for many years. He enjoyed going shopping with his wife. David especially loved any type of family gathering, and going to Las Vegas. WAITT -- His funeral and burial will be private. David J. Wheeler, 51 LUNENBURG -- David J. Wheeler, 51, of Lunenburg, formerly of Ashby, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, June 26, following a long battle with cancer. David was born in Fitchburg, MA on June 10, 1965, son of the late William R. and Lillian A. (Morin) Wheeler. He is survived by his wife, Sharon A. (Mrowka) Wheeler, son, Joshua Wheeler and his wife Kristy of Gardner, daughter Erica of Gardner, six grandchildren, Cameron, Jocelyn, Joshua Jr., Aaliyah, Kayleigh, and Kenia, his mother, Lillian A. (Morin) Wheeler of Ashby; brothers Richard D. Wheeler and his wife Heidi of Ashboro, NC, Dwight J. Wheeler and his wife Sharon of Lunenburg, William G. "Billy" Wheeler and his wife Pam of New Ipswich, NH; sisters, Carol A Lehtola and her husband Richard of Westminster, Karen M. Lindskog and her husband Ted of Amherst, NH; sister-in-law Linda J. Wheeler of Fitchburg; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Irene Mrowka of Lunenburg; brother-in-law, Mark Mrowka and his wife Jennifer Martz of Middleboro; sister-in-law Sandra Mrowka of Chelmsford and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was Pre-deceased by his father, William R. Wheeler, and his brother, Alan C. Wheeler, Sr. David was employed by FW Webb Company of Fitchburg, MA, where he worked for over 20 years. David was an active member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 361 of Ashby. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, spending lots of time at his hunting camp in Newport Center, VT with his cousin, friend, and hunting buddy, Mike Morin. He loved his family and friends and was always there to help and support them. He will be greatly missed by all who had a chance to know him. WHEELER -- His funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 30, at 11 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 1 School Street, Townsend. David will be buried with his father at West Cemetery in Ashby. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 29, form 4 to 7 PM in the T. J. Anderson and Son Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Townsend. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent's Cancer and Wellness Center, One Eaton Place, Worcester, MA 01608.
