LEOMINSTER -- A. James Paradis II, 61, of Leominster, died January 11, 2013, at home, after an illness.
He was born August 26, 1951, in Leominster, MA the son of Arthur J. and Joan F. (Flanagan) Paradis. He was a graduate of Leominster High School, Class of 1970. He received a Degree in Theology, from Atlantic Union College.
He served in the U.S. Air Force
from April 1971 until May 1975, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
When he returned, he worked at Eusey Press, which later became Quebecor World, as a printer. He was a member of the Leominster Franco American Veterans Club.
He is survived by two sons, Jamie Paradis of Baldwinville, MA and Israel Callahan of Centerville, MA, one daughter, Leicia Paradis-Allen, of Fitchburg; a brother, Kevin Paradis of Leominster; and three step-brothers, Brian Lachapelle of Leominster, Neil Lachapelle and Keith Lachapelle, both of California.
He also leaves seven grandchildren, Ashlei and Dyllan Paradis, Garrett and River Paradis, Rhiannan Callahan, Max Callahan and Brandon Paradis.
PARADIS -- Calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2013, from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. in Wright-Roy Funeral Home, Inc., 109 West St., Leominster, MA. Cremation will take place in Rural Crematory, Worcester. Burial with Military Honors will be in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon, MA, at a later date.
