Alan R. Silvar

FITCHBURG -- Alan R. Silvar, 62, died Thursday, November 15, 2012, at his home, after an illness.

He leaves two brothers, Edward F. Silvar of Holiday, FL, and Stephen A. Silvar of Lunenburg, one sister, Deborah Silvar of Dallas, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

He was born in Marlboro on August 24, 1950, a son of the late Edward F. and Georgia R. (Regan) Silvar.

He worked at Olive Garden as a kitchen assistant. He was a participant in Special Olympics and received many awards. He was an avid Red Sox fan and attended spring training every year. He also was an avid Fitchburg High School Sports fan.

The Family would like to thank the Staff at 76 Wall Street, and the HealthAlliance Home Heath and Hospice, for the care they gave Alan.

SILVAR -- Funeral Services will be held in the Lunenburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home, 763 Mass. Avenue, Lunenburg on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private in St. Bernard Cemetery, Fitchburg, MA. Calling Hours will be in the Funeral Home on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 5:00 -- 7:00 p.m. See for further information.
