FITCHBURG -- Antoinette J. Stone, 94, of Fitchburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, in her home.
She was born in Fitchburg, on Aug. 6, 1918, a daughter of the late, Ovila and Angelina (Sirois) Allaire and grew up in Leominster before moving to Fitchburg as a young adult.
Antoinette worked at the Foster Grant Company for several years prior to her retirement. She was an avid reader and loved music as well as playing the piano. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and going out to dinner and watching the Red Sox.
She leaves a son, Jeffrey Stone of South Hadley; two daughters, Olivia Blanck and her husband Harry of Lunenburg and Michaele Stone of Concord, NH; ten grandchildren, Danette Balsam of Fitchburg with whom she lived, Stephanie Doyle and her husband John of Fitchburg, Tobi Cameron and her husband Dave of Anderson, SC, Nicole Stone of Lunenburg, Naomi Stone and Petra Stone both of Sudbury, Caitlyn Stone of Clinton, Zachary Stone, Benjamin Stone and Gabriella Stone all of Belchertown; three great-granddaughters, Morgan Cameron and Brooke Cameron both of Anderson, SC and Paige Hasselman of Leominster. She is predeceased by a son, Darryl Stone in 2001, a daughter, Ranae Root in 2003 and a grandson, Edward Koenig on 2007.
STONE -- A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 12, at 7PM in the Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Burial will be held privately in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
