LEOMINSTER -- Attorney Robert D. Ouimet, 83, of Leominster died Saturday, February 9, at HealthAlliance Hospital in Leominster after a short illness. Attorney Ouimet was born in Leominster, the son of the late Dr. Arcade J. and B. Evelyn (Grammont) Ouimet. He is survived by several cousins.

A graduate of Leominster High School, Harvard College and Harvard Law School, Attorney Ouimet practiced law for many years in Leominster, first as an associate of Attorney Charles D. Bent, and then as a solo practitioner.

Attorney Ouimet was a veteran of the U.S. Army, receiving an honorable discharge after service in post-war Germany from 1952 until 1954. He served as Clerk pro tem of the Leominster District Court, a Corporator of the Leominster Savings Bank, a Director of the Leominster Chamber of Commerce, a Director of the Leomnister Visiting Nurses' Association, a member of the Leominster High school Site Location Committee, and as a member of the Leominster Planning Board.

OUIMET -- A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 15, 2013, at St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster, Mass. A calling hour will be held from 9:30am to 10:30am on Friday, at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road in Fitchburg, Mass, prior to the funeral.

The family wishes to extend its sincerest gratitude to the nurses and the entire staff at Health Alliance Hospital, and especially to Monsignor Francis Goguen, Pastor of St. Cecilia's Church, for their kindness and care during Atty. Ouimet's final illness.

Burial will at St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Leominster, Mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Cecilia's Parish, 170 Mechanic Street, Leominster, MA.
