LEOMINSTER -- Dorothy M. (Nolan) Thomas 92, of Leominster, died Sunday January 13, 2013 in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital after an illness.

She was born March 19,1920 in Fitchburg the daughter of Andrew and Jesse Nolan and came to Leominster many years ago. She leaves her husband of 72 years, Humbert A. Thomas, two sons, Carl A. Thomas and his wife Susan of Kennesaw, GA, Stephen R. Thomas and his wife Jeanne of Fitchburg, her daughter Dorothy L. Anderson of Fitchburg, her former daughter in-law, Marge Thomas of Ashburnham, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 7 great- great-grandchildren.

Dorothy graduated from Leominster High School in the class of 1938. Along with her husband she owned two Dairy Queens in Fitchburg for many years, before retiring and spending winters in Florida. She enjoyed traveling and gardening.

THOMAS -- Funeral services and burial are private in the Winchendon Veterans Memorial Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the Beacon of Hope, 62 West Street, Leominster, MA 01453. The Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster is directing arrangements.
