Professional affiliations have included Massachusetts Council of Human Service Providers, Northern Worcester County Landlord Association, North Central Massachusetts Association of Realtors, MA Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors to name just a few.

Doug was a proud Rotarian since joining the Rotary in 1969 and has held perfect attendance for all those years. He was Past President and currently held the position as the Executive Secretary for the Montachusett Area Rotary Club as well as a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow award. Doug took great pride in his involvement and certainly exemplified the meaning of "Service Above Self" in everything that he did. He dedicated his life to helping others to make for a better life whether it was through his involvement with the Rotary, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, the ARC of Opportunity, or the several Golf Tournament Fundraisers in which he organized.

When not on the golf course, Doug could often be found at his summer home on Lake George or supporting the many school and sporting events that his children and grandchildren participated in or simply spending time with his much loved family. Recently he and his wife celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary at the Lake with all of their children and grandchildren.
