WESTMINSTER -- Edward C. Luman, 72, of Westminster, died Friday, February 15, 2013, in Leominster Hospital.

Edward was born in Saranac Lake, New York on February 24, 1940, a son of the late Raymond and Catherine (Miner) Luman. He worked for many years as a diesel mechanic for Laidlaw Bus Co..

Edward proudly served his country in the United States Army, gaining the rank of SP 4.

Edward enjoyed playing hockey and his antique Studebaker car. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and will be greatly missed.

He leaves his wife, Diane Luman of Westminster; sons, Ziggy Luman of Westminster, and Al Luman and his wife, Christine of Ohio; siblings, Leon (Mary) Luman of Dexter, NY, Gary (Sandra) Luman of Mitchell, IN, Martha (Roy) Pidgeon of Milton, VT, Mary (Raymond) Mere of Messena, NY, Robin (Laura) Luman of Lunenburg, and Joan (Richard) Moyer of FL.

He also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

LUMAN -- Calling hours will be held in Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 4-6 PM. A Memorial service will follow at 6 PM. Burial will be at a later date.
