Emma M. (Taylor) Kingston

LEOMINSTER -- Emma M. (Taylor) Kingston, 96, died Friday, October 5, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Fitchburg, after a short illness.

She was the wife of the late Hiland B. Kingston.

She leaves three granddaughters, Judi Funaiole of Hudson, Maine, Bev (Funaiole) LaBay of Montgomery, MA, and Patty (Funaiole) Gleason of NC; five great-grandsons, and seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Emma was born on April 18, 1916 in Portland, ME, a daughter of the late Archie and Mary (Croteau) Taylor. She graduated from Leominster High School in 1934.

Emma worked at the former Foster Grant Company in Leominster for 27 years before retiring in 1970.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Leominster, the O.E.S., Lady Emma Chapter, and the 25 Year Club.

Emma loved the outdoors, especially fishing and ice fishing. Emma's Family would like to say a special thank you to her nephew, Bob Taylor; and her two neighbors, Mr. Boyle and Mr. Kennedy for helping her and watching out for her over the years.

KINGSTON -- A Graveside Service will be on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery, 357 Main Street, Leominster, MA. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in Emma's name to the Lunenburg Animal Control Dept. C/O Fallon Animal Clinic, 79 Mass Ave, Lunenburg, MA 01462.
