LEOMINSTER -- Eugene W. Fallon, 84 years old, of Leominster, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in Heywood Hospital in Gardner.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Florence V. (Piermarini) Fallon; daughter, Nikki Fallon of Wilmington, NC; and sister, Loretta A. Jordan of Brooklyn, NY.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Edward A. Fallon, Francis P. Fallon, Daniel P. Fallon and James T. Fallon, and a sister, Catherine "Kitty" Svehla.
Eugene was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 27, 1929, son of Francis Patrick and Mary Loretta (O'Brien) Fallon and had lived in Brooklyn until the age of 17, which time he enlisted in the U.S. Navy
in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948 until retiring in 1966 at the rank of Sergeant 1st Class. He was active in Army Secret Service Agency, with 11 years overseas and nine years in the United States.
Eugene then worked as an Internal Revenue Officer for the Internal Revenue Service for 18 years.
He was a member of St. Anna's Church, where formerly was a lector and CCD teacher. Eugene enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.
FALLON -- A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster with a mass at 10 am in St. Anna's Church, 194 Lancaster Street, Leominster. Burial with military honors will be in St. Leo's Cemetery, Leominster. Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 5, 2014 from 5-7 pm in the funeral home. www.richardsonfuneralhome.net
