J. Francis P. Marien

LEOMINSTER -- J. Francis P. Marien, of Leominster, MA, passed into the arms of his creator on April 3, 2014, at his home in Leominster. Francis, the son of Philip and Berthine Marien, was born January 24, 1950 in Fitchburg, MA.
He was a graduate of Oakmont Regional High School and thoroughly enjoyed working for AV Presentations of Northborough, MA for nearly 20 years before his retirement in January 2014. He was an active member, lector, and Eucharistic Minister at St. Leo's Parish in Leominster. He loved music and sang with the Montachusett Chorale for many years.
Francis is survived by his wife, Marlene Marien; his loving companion of 39 years; his son, Michael A. Marien and his wife, Kate M. Marien of Nashua, NH; his daughter, Rebecca J. LaDue and her wife, Lacey E. LaDue of Leominster, MA; and his three grandchildren, Tyler P. Rogers and Sara K. Marien of Nashua, NH, and Lily E. LaDue of Leominster, MA.
He pre-deceases his sister, Pauline Guenette of The Villages, FL, and his two brothers, Robert Marien of Westminster, MA, and Leo Marien of North Dighton, MA; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews.
Francis enjoyed many things in his life especially the Christmas season, camping, traveling and the moments surrounded by his family and friends. He will be remembered by all as a loving and generous husband, father and friend.
MARIEN -- Calling hours will be held from 5 pm - 8 pm on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. A funeral mass will be celebrated on at 11:30 am Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at St. Leo's Parish, 128 Main Street, Leominster, MA. Burial will be private at a later date.
