LEOMINSTER -- John A. Bresnahan, 69, of Orange City, Florida, formerly of Leominster, MA, passed away on December 29, 2012, after a long illness.

He was the husband and best friend to his wife, Sandra. He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Millette, wife of Ronald Millette of Brookline, VT; and his son, Patrick Bresnahan and wife, Shari of Westminster, MA. He leaves behind four grandchildren, Kara Millette of Townshend, VT, Robert Millette of Florida, Carly LeBlanc and husband, David LeBlanc of Jamaica, VT, Michael J. Bresnahan of Westminster, MA; and one great-grandchild, Alice LeBlanc. He also leaves one stepdaughter, Hidee Caissie, wife of James Caissie of New Ipswich, NH; and two step-grandchildren, Joseph and Christina DiCostanzo.

John leaves behind his 97 year old mother, Esther (Poulson) Bresnahan, wife of the late Joseph Bresnahan of Leominster; sisters, Donna Marx of Leominster, Linda Powell and companion, Robert Buckman of Westminster; brothers, Richard Bresnahan of Leominster, and Gerald Bresnahan and wife, Elaine of Boca Raton, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Judith (Miller) Bresnahan, his son, Michael Bresnahan, and his brother, Joseph "Gus" Bresnahan.

John was born in Leominster on May 11, 1943. He served in the United States Marine Corps as an ammunition technician and was a skilled marksman.

He was a truck driver for over 35 years before retiring from the Martin Brower Co. He enjoyed traveling with his loving wife, Sandra, motorcycling, and golfing.

BRESNAHAN -- Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 18th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Silas F. Richardson & Son Funeral Home, 106 West Street, Leominster. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19th at 10 a.m. at Horizon Christian Fellowship, 356 Broad Street, Fitchburg.
