FITCHBURG -- Joseph H. Sulkin, died peacefully on Thursday, February 21, 2013 surrounded by those he loved.

He was the beloved husband of the late Gloria M. (Cioffi) Sulkin who died in 2012.

He was born in Fitchburg, on May 5, 1919, the son of the late Celia and Harry Sulkin, and brother of the late Ruth Freedman. He was a lifelong Fitchburg resident.

He was a graduate of Fitchburg High School. He was a WWII pilot in the Army Air Corp, and he owned and operated The Fabric Center.

Above all else, he cherished and loved his family. He was a loving and devoted husband and the most wonderful of fathers. He leaves a legacy of kindness, integrity, selflessness, and humor.

He leaves behind his daughter, Jane and her husband, Steve; his son, David and his wife, Linda; his son, Jeffrey and his wife, Lisa; his granddaughters, Alexandra and Ashley; and beloved relatives and friends near and dear to his heart.
