TOWNSEND -- Joyce A. (Waddell) Campbell, 60, of Townsend, died Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Nashoba Valley Medical Center, Ayer, after a lengthy illness.

Joyce was born in Fitchburg, November 27, 1952, a daughter of the late Ernest Waddell and Marilyn O. (Melanson) Waddell Goulding, and was a lifelong Townsend resident. She was a 1970 graduate of North Middlesex Regional High School in Townsend and later continued her education at Mount Wachusett Community College.

She leaves her husband of 37 years, Kevin H. Campbell; her son and daughter-in-law, Jason A. and Colleen Campbell of Pepperell; three brothers, Loren E. Goulding and Dana A. Goulding, both of Townsend, James S. Goulding of Pepperell; a sister, Louise Siart of Alexandria, NH; her father, Loren Goulding and his wife, Shirley, of Townsend; and her granddaughter, Marleigh Campbell; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Rebecca A. Campbell of Townsend in April 2006.

Joyce had worked several years as the scheduling secretary in the radiology department at Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer. Previously, she had worked at A & L Graphics in Leominster, Boston University Alumni Services, Boston, and was the personal secretary of Elsa Williams at Elsa Williams Manufacturing in Townsend.

CAMPBELL -- Funeral services will be held 10 AM, Wednesday, April 3 at the Townsend Congregational Church, 3 Brookline Street, Townsend. Calling hours are 5 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 2nd at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main Street (Rte. 119), Townsend center. Please see for additional information. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
