Marie DeLisle, 90 -- LUNENBURG -- Marie (Thibodeau) DeLisle, 90, former long time Lunenburg resident died July 7, in the Caldwell Home in Fitchburg. She was born on Feb. 12, 1923, a daughter of the late Delore and Grace (Mehlberger) Thibodeau. She was a 1940 graduate of St. Joseph's Academy in Schenectady, NY and attended the Mildred Elley Business School in Albany, NY. Marie worked alongside her husband at the former DeLisle Fashions in Fitchburg where she assisted in all of the day to day operations. She was a founding member of St. Boniface Parish in Lunenburg where she served as an officer in the Women's Guild. She was also a volunteer at Burbank Hospital for several years. Her husband of 57 years, Raymond L. DeLisle died in 2004. She leaves her two sons, Robert R. DeLisle of Denver, CO and David S. DeLisle and his significant other, Jean DeLibertis of Fitchburg; 6 grandchildren, Michael DeLisle, Darlene DeLisle, Derek DeLisle, Dustin DeLisle, Mark DeLibertis and Lisa DeLibertis; a great-grandson, William DeLisle and many nephews and nieces. Besides her husband she is predeceased by a sister Ruth E. Coyle. DELISLE -- Per Marie's wishes her body has been donated to the Anatomical Gift Program at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester. A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 20, at 11AM in St. Boniface Church, 817 Massachusetts Ave., Lunenburg. There are no calling hours. Burial will take place in the South Cemetery in Lunenburg at a later date. The Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
